Women of the North
Women of the North HWY 17 mural project has been a two year project. Collaborating with women from Algoma Manor, Garden River and Mississaugi First Nation.
Women from these communities participated in painting, drawing and story sharing workshops. Culminating their own artworks into collective imagery.
Throughout the process I developed drawings that were shared with the women that were then transformed into the final mural.
Materials, spray and exterior paint on aluminum sheeting. Size, 8' x 16'. Location HWY 17 west of Thessalon.
